What's new in each build we ship, newest first.
Build 34
September 22, 2026 — Android, iOS
- Messages you send now show up on your own other devices too, including in groups — and reading a conversation on one device clears the badge and the notification on the others.
- Read and delivered ticks now reach every device a person uses, including a friend whose only device is a second one; reactions and deletions follow the same path.
- Settings shows the devices linked to your account, with a clear message if you reach the device limit instead of a silent failure.
- Your recovery code keeps working after you sign out.
- Democracy Dev now sends a notification at every stage of a feature request — when it is published, when the final vote opens, and as it moves through building, testing and shipping — with the request's title and what just happened.
- The Democracy Dev page on joinourspace.org shows the public queue of proposals and the stage each one is in.
- The privacy policy and the propose screen say what is shown publicly about a proposal: its title, status and vote totals — never the proposer's name.
- Links in comments show a preview card, and the preview updates if you edit the link.
- On Android with 3-button navigation, the feature-request reply box no longer sits under the navigation bar, and the GIF drawer's search results are no longer hidden behind the keyboard. Reaction pickers, profile menus, the "who reacted" sheet, group member actions, the new-group button and several message prompts got the same fix.
- Profiles have a Communities tab listing the groups you are allowed to see.
- People who are not in a group can no longer repost that group's posts.
- The switch-server dialog now describes exactly what a switch does.
- The website gained terms, accessibility and account-deletion pages, a proper 404 page, social preview images, faster-loading images and a working waitlist form.

Build 33
August 28, 2026 — Android, iOS
- OurSpace now supports using your account on more than one device. Each device gets its own encryption keys, and every message is delivered securely to each device you use.
- Reinstalled the app or moved to a new phone? OurSpace now recognizes the situation and asks you — never decides for you — how to continue, keeping your account's encryption intact.
- Message delivery is more reliable when a friend reinstalls the app or switches devices.
- Group messages now reach every device in the conversation, not just each person's primary one.
- Updating is seamless: install build 33 over your current app and your messages, keys, and settings all carry over. Nothing to back up.
- A lot of under-the-hood reliability work: every messaging path in this release was verified end-to-end by automated tests on real builds before shipping.

Build 32
August 21, 2026 — Android, iOS
- Choose exactly which notifications you get: new switches in Settings for friend requests, likes, comments, reposts, groups, and feature requests.
- Friend-post notifications now update your Inbox badge instantly.
- Posts can now include up to 20 photos, up from 5.
- Chat and DM videos can now run up to 6 minutes 36 seconds, matching the video feed, with smarter compression.

- Fixed the app icon and splash screen showing the wrong background on some devices.

Build 31
August 19, 2026 — Android, iOS
- Reposts — share a friend's post to your own feed, with credit back to the original poster shown on the feed and on profiles.
- Posts can now include up to 5 photos. Swipe through them right in the post, and profiles show a small badge when a post has more than one photo.
- The emoji keyboard has been updated with the latest full emoji set, and you can now search emoji by name.
- Light mode has been reworked so text is easier to read and meets accessibility contrast standards.
- Videos can now be up to 6 minutes and 36 seconds long.
- Added a self-hosted server option in Settings, for people who run their own OurSpace server.
- The notification badge now updates live, without needing to reopen the app.
